Wooden Church of St. Michael the Archangel UNESCO, Ladomirová

In terms of its architecture, the wooden Greek Catholic Church in Ladomirová is ranked among the most precious and the most representative eastern rite churches in Slovakia. It was built in 1742, and it is dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel. During the Second World War, the village, the parish, and the church were severely damaged, as well as some precious icons and iconostases. In 1946, the church was renovated, but already in 1957, the church was again affected by a storm. It underwent renovation in 1958.
