Wooden Church of St. Nicholas UNESCO, Bodružal

The wooden Greek Catholic Church of St. Nicholas in Bodružal is one of the oldest wooden churches in Slovakia. Its construction is dated to 1658. Its patron saint is St. Nicholas, the bishop and miracle-maker. Owning to its unique value, on the 7th of July 2008, the church, along with other historic architecture landmarks, was entered to the UNESCO World Heritage List as one of “The Wooden Churches in the Slovak part of the Carpathians.”
