Memorial of the Czechoslovak Army Corps
The Czechoslovak Army Corps Memorial in Dukla is situated past the locality of Vyšný Komárnik on the right-hand side of the main road, not far from the Slovak-Polish border. A columbarium with the chapel whose portal is adorned with reliefs depicting the road of the 1st Czechoslovak Army Corps from Buzluk to Prague are also parts of the monument. Bronze plaques with names of 1265 soldiers of the 1st Czechoslovak Army Corps who fell in the Carpatho-Dukla Operation have been installed on the colonnade leading to the monument. The Avenue of Heroes created in 1981 complements the memorial complex. It consists of fifteen busts of Soviet and Czechoslovak heroes of the battles during the Carpatho-Dukla Operation.
