Region Domaša

Reservoir Domaša was built in the years 1962–67 on the River Ondava and originally was to serve as a drinking water reserve. Thanks to its enormous self-cleaning capacity, and its situation in an area where there is no industrial pollution, it is known for its clean water and abounds with fish (trout, carp, asp, catfish, pike, and eel). Broadleaf and mixed woods surrounding Domaša reservoir offer a multitude of tourist trails, with plenty of opportunities for mushroom picking. Recreation centres in the vicinity: Domaša Dobrá, Eva – Holčíkovce, Poľany – Monika, Nová Kelča – Krym, Valkov – Tišava.
